Today is World Asthma Day, a campaign that aims to raise awareness about asthma and improve care of the condition across the globe. Healthcare groups around the world are organising a range of activities to mark the event.
The Health & Environment Alliance (HEAL) and the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients Associations (EFA) have launched the Know your air for health website, which details how improving air quality can help with the symptoms of asthma and other breathing conditions.
As part of their World Asthma Day activities, the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) has also released a new edition of its Global Strategy for Asthma Management and Prevention. The report, which is aimed at medical professionals, focuses on the diagnosis and management of asthma. Find out more.
