We are pleased to announce that we are an official partner of the Healthy Workplaces campaign, organised by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA).
Healthy Workplaces is an EU-backed two-year long campaign that aims to raise awareness of different aspects of health and safety at work. The current campaign slogan is ‘manage dangerous substances’.
Other partners of the campaign include employers, trade unions, research organisations and non-governmental organisations.
The Healthy Workplace campaign ties in with ELF’s priorities, especially in terms of raising awareness of how to protect your lungs – and it links with the ‘breathe clean air’ theme of the Healthy Lungs for Life campaign.
ELF has already been collaborating with EU-OSHA and its national representatives on translating our occupational quiz and information tool into Dutch, German and Portuguese. After launching the English version last year, we hope to make these translations available soon.
ELF Chair, Isabel Saraiva, said: “ELF is delighted to support this campaign, as we are committed to ensuring people have healthy lungs for life. One key aspect is protecting lung health in the workplace, and educating employers and employees about the potential risk factors.”
