A new scheme to support Healthy Lungs for Life events has been launched with 5x €1,000 grants now available.
Individuals, not-for-profit organisations, patient groups and respiratory professionals are encouraged to hold events to help raise awareness of the importance of lung health.
Organised by ELF and ERS, Healthy Lungs for Life is one of the largest ever lung health campaigns, raising awareness of the importance of healthy lungs through a full range of events, projects and promotional activities.
The theme for 2018-19 is “Breathe clean air”, referring to the importance of breathing in good quality air both indoors and outdoors, as well as highlighting the benefits of a smoke-free life.
A range of further resources are available for you to use in the Healthy Lungs for Life toolkit. These include logos, posters, template press releases and event checklists.
There are many different types of events that you can hold. The most common events held are public lung function testing events where members of the public are encouraged to get a free spirometry test.
Help spread these powerful messages worldwide and organise your own event in your local area.
