Members of the BioMedical Alliance in Europe (BioMed Alliance) have created a cartoon video for patients, which highlights the importance of unbiased medical education for healthcare professionals.
BioMed Alliance is a group of 30 leading Biomedical Societies in Europe. Their goal is to improve the health and well-being of all citizens of Europe.
The video clip explains the need for healthcare professionals to stay up-to-date on the latest science through high-quality education from unbiased medical associations (such as the European Respiratory Society (ERS), who are a member of the BioMed Alliance) rather than from pharmaceutical companies. This is because information from drug manufacturers focuses on their own treatment products, while medical associations remain impartial by communicating the latest science regardless of who produces the treatments.
Watch the video to learn more about how unbiased and up-to-date scientific education will ensure that doctors provide the best standard of care to patients.
