Research findings and information on new guidelines for healthcare professionals presented at this year’s European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress will be easier to access – thanks to the new Live@ERS for patients platform.
The platform will bring together a selection of content from the existing Live@ERS site for healthcare professionals, including short interviews with scientists about their research, as well as some recordings of Congress sessions – as well as interviews we have produced especially for patients.
Our interviews cover asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, infectious lung conditions, rare lung conditions, lung conditions in children and sleep apnoea. They feature lung health specialists from ERS and patient organisations and aim to summarise the main findings for each lung condition and what they might mean for patients in the future.
In its first year, the platform will be available in English, French and Dutch.
As a key part of our work at ELF is to communicate the latest lung health to patients and the public, we hope this initiative will be another useful opportunity for people living with lung conditions to stay informed.
We look forward to sharing these videos and insights from the Congress with you – and to getting your feedback – in due course.
