Lung cancer patient priorities project

The European Lung Foundation (ELF) and European Respiratory Society (ERS) have recently launched a new Patient Priorities project to develop patient-led guidance on what matters most to people affected by lung cancer across Europe.

A patient advisory group has been brought together to help steer the direction of the project and is made up of individuals diagnosed with lung cancer, carers/family members and lung cancer patient organisation representatives from Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK and includes representation from Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE). We are also looking for members from Eastern European countries to join the group.

The guidance will be developed for both healthcare professionals and individuals living with lung cancer following consultation across Europe through a survey, workshops and interviews. The guidance will be produced in several languages and launched by the end of 2015.

Look out for further updates on the ELF website, and if you would like to find out more about the advisory group or how you can get involved in the consultation activities please email Jeanette Boyd
