Patient priorities update

Patient priorities is a group of groundbreaking projects led by patients for patients.

Our first three patient priorities projects have focused on the following lung conditions: lung cancer, lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) and bronchiectasis.

Each project has been developed independently with the guidance of dedicated patient advisory groups made up of people diagnosed with the condition, caregivers and patient organisation representatives.

Their priorities for information, treatment and research have been identified through surveys, meetings and workshops, and the development of information and guidance for people with the condition and healthcare professionals is the main outcome of these projects.

We have partnered closely with European Respiratory Society (ERS) experts in each field to ensure that the information is accurate and the patient advisory groups have contributed their experiences and expertise to demonstrate how each condition affects them on a daily basis.

We are now set to launch a website for two of these projects in the next couple of months (lung cancer and LAM) which will be new European resources for ERS members to signpost their patients to. A bronchiectasis website will be launched this autumn.

Look out for the launch dates and get in touch with us for more information.
