Share your experience of spirometry testing and help inform guidance for healthcare professionals

We have launched a survey to learn more about peoples’ experience of spirometry testing.

We have launched a survey to learn more about peoples’ experience of spirometry testing.

Spirometry is a breathing test which measures the amount of air in your lungs and how quickly you can breathe out. It helps assess how healthy your lungs are and can be used to help diagnose and monitor lung conditions.

This survey is open to both adults and children who have had spirometry testing  including people living with lung conditions and those that have had the test as part of screening, e.g. during work-related health checks.

Patient opinions and experiences from this survey, along with the latest scientific and clinical evidence, will be used by a working group of healthcare professionals (working with the American Thoracic Society and European Respiratory Society) to agree on the best spirometry testing methods.

You can complete this survey online until 21 September, 2018 and it will take about 5–10 minutes to complete.

It is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Just use the drop-down menu at the top right-hand side of the survey to pick your language.

Help us reach as many people as possible by sharing with anyone you that may be interested in contributing their experience.
