On the occasion of World COPD Day, we join the international call to raise awareness of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Europe. Early diagnosis, evidence-based care, and patient empowerment are essential to reducing the burden of the disease.
Within the JARED project, our consortium is working to improve respiratory health pathways across Europe by strengthening knowledge exchange, supporting the implementation of best practices, and contributing to more efficient, patient-centred care models. COPD care is a central area where coordinated action, reliable information, and long-term prevention strategies can make a tangible difference.
