Deliverable 4.3 Achieved – Strengthening synergies for better lung health across Europe

04/05/2026

Let’s celebrate together: the JARED project has just reached Deliverable 4.3, a significant step in its mission to combat chronic respiratory diseases across Europe!

We are strengthening respiratory health — one step at a time.

JARED’s Coordination Team is pleased to announce the successful delivery of D4.3, a report capturing the first period of activities dedicated to building and strengthening synergies with the LungHealth4Life (LH4L) project.

This deliverable marks a key step in moving from planning to action. It showcases how structured collaboration — through regular coordination, joint activities, and shared priorities — is already delivering tangible results.

The report highlights how strong synergies can make a real difference. By aligning efforts, and building on each other’s expertise, JARED and LH4L are increasing their collective impact across communication, policy, prevention, and knowledge exchange.

A wide range of activities have already been implemented, including joint events, coordinated awareness campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and contributions to European and international policy discussions. These efforts are helping to create a more connected and coherent approach to respiratory health in Europe.

At the same time, the report points to important priorities for the future. In particular, it emphasises the need to focus on lung health from an early age. Ensuring proper lung development in childhood is essential. This includes strengthening the role of childhood lung function testing, which plays a key role in early detection and long-term health outcomes. Prevention also starts early — addressing childhood asthma can significantly reduce the risk of developing chronic respiratory diseases, such as COPD, later in life.

Deliverable 4.3 demonstrates that collaboration is not just beneficial — it is essential. By working together, JARED and LH4L are laying the foundation for a stronger, more coordinated response to respiratory diseases across Europe.
