LungHealth4Life at the ERS International Congress 2025

14/10/2025

On 30 September, LungHealth4Life project partners met in Amsterdam during the ERS International Congress  to review progress, share insights and discuss the next steps of the project.

The meeting had two sessions; the first was open to the project’s Expert Board, Community of Practice, and external guests, while the second was a closed-door meeting for consortium partners.

Partners discussed several key aspects of the project:

  • First-year results and project outcomes
  • Progress on the project’s protocol, educational materials and pilot tools
  • Preparation and status of each pilot country
  • Communication achievements and plans for the coming year

Community of Practice and Expert Board members gave valuable feedback and shared their own experiences of running pilots in different countries and settings.

The main focus this year is on implementing lung function testing in schools and developing communication strategies around this. Portugal’s pilot will take place in one school. Poland’s intervention will take place in 11 schools and Hungary’s intervention will take place in GP offices, that work with the students of the schools. The target of the project is for each intervention to reach out to 300 children in each country.
