A new paper from the SHARP Clinical Research Collaboration has been recently published in European Respiratory Journal-Open Research.
The paper is entitled “Managing multimorbidity in severe asthma: comparison of resources and perspectives between severe asthma specialists and general respiratory physicians across Europe”.
Key information:
- This European SHARP survey compared access to multidisciplinary resources and physicians’ perspectives on multimorbidity in severe asthma between severe asthma specialists and general respiratory physicians across Europe.
- The survey, involving 495 physicians across 25 European countries, revealed important differences in awareness, assessment and management of multimorbidity, as well as access to multidisciplinary resources.
- The findings support strengthening multidisciplinary care, improving education and training, and harmonising clinical practice to improve the management of multimorbidity in severe asthma across Europe.
