SOLACE during the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2024

During the ECR 2024, the team of SOLACE project produced a series of short videos that explain the focus, the aims and the goals of the project. Each video, created by EIBIR, sheds light to different aspects of SOLACE and shows its impact.

Professor MD Helmut Prosch gave an overview of the project and talked about the motivation behind SOLACE, the challenges in the implementation of lung cancer screening, as well as the demonstration of effective implementation across different countries. He also shared insights on the project’s objectives, its methodologies and the steps that will ensure the sustainability of the project over time.

Dr. Oyunaa von Stackelberg and Colin Jacobs talked about the importance of going from the scientific evidence about lung cancer screening to the actual implementation.

Professor Martina Koziar Vašáková talked about approaching higher risk populations.

Professor Marie-Pierre Revel explained the importance of encouraging women to get screened.

Professor Ildiko Horvath explained how the project plans to reach out to those who need lung cancer screening the most.

Dr Pippa Powell talked about reaching out to as many people as possible and empowering member states and regions to set up their future screening programs.
