SOLACE at the International Primary Care Respiratory Group (IPCRG) World Conference

The SOLACE project has been showcased at an international conference aimed at primary care professionals.

For three days (9 – 11 May), the European Lung Foundation hosted a stand sharing the project with delegates in the exhibition Hall of the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre. The stand was visited by many attendees, who came to learn about the SOLACE project’s aims, goals and activities.

On 10 May, Guilherme Mendes, a member of the SOLACE Stakeholder Advisory Board, gave a speech on lung cancer screening in Europe and presented the project. More specifically, he talked about policies and pilots in different countries, such as Poland, France, Croatia and the UK. He discussed how the SOLACE project was working to reach women, hard-to-reach populations and higher risk populations. He also talked about the promotional materials that have been produced in multiple languages, aiming to spread information to the public and motivate people who need it the most to have lung cancer screenings.
