SOLACE aims to help people understand more about lung cancer screening and what is happening with screening programmes in their country. As well as Lung Cancer Awareness Month, other campaigns take place throughout the year to help the public learn more about what screening is and how it can help.
Lung cancer causes more deaths than colon, breast and prostate cancers combined. At the same time, its early diagnosis can reduce death rates by at least 20%. SOLACE will help countries deliver cost-effective screening programme for lung cancer and identify the best techniques for reaching out to those groups that are at particularly high risk.
We invite you to stay up-to-date with the project’s latest news and developments, by signing up to the Stakeholder Forum and by following us on social media.https://europeanlung.org/solace/contact/
