SOLACE at ERS Congress 2025

17/10/2025

At this year’s ERS Congress in Amsterdam, members of the SOLACE project team met in person to share insights across partner institutions, reflect on the project’s impact so far and plan for its future sustainability.

Beyond the partners’ meeting, SOLACE was featured in sessions throughout the Congress:

  • 27 September – EU Projects Panel: European progress on finding SOLACE in lung cancer screening.

This session highlighted the latest updates from the project and the three ongoing pilots across 11 EU member states. Speakers also discussed the progress of the SOLACE lung cancer screening guideline, the implementation and quality assurance package and the SOLACE toolbox approach — all key tools for improving early detection and patient outcomes.

  • 30 September – Poster session: Lung cancer, interventional bronchoscopies, and pulmonary nodules.
  • 1 October – Wednesday Special Programme Workshop: How to maximise the impact of your research project outcomes.

This interactive session explored how project results can be used beyond their initial scope, from inspiring new research to support real-world applications.  It also highlighted strategies to ensure that project outcomes deliver long-term value and impact.

Together, these sessions provided the SOLACE consortium the opportunity to connect with physicians, researchers and patient representative organisations and share updates on the project’s pilots, guidelines, implementation and the quality assurance package.
