September was quite active for the SOLACE consortium. Project representatives from different countries and organisations had the opportunity to showcase SOLACE on multiple occasions.

For four days (7 – 10 September), Lungs Europe hosted a stand at the World Village of the European Respiratory Society’s Congress, in Vienna, Austria. The stand was visited by multiple clinicians, doctors, patients and patient representatives who were informed about the projects’ goals and activities.

On 9 September, I. Vlachantoni from Sotiria Athens Chest Hospital, showcased how lung cancer screening is being implemented in Greece and how the trials are reaching hard to reach populations, during the session “Lung cancer screening and incidental lung nodules: adjusting the gears”.

On the same date, Prof. Martina Koziar Vasakova, WP6 leader, presented project updates in a session focused on multiple pulmonary nodules.

On 10 September,  project coordinators Prof. J. Chorostowska-Wynimko and Prof. T. Blum, participated in the Symposium “Lung cancer screening: considering and acting on developing needs”, aiming at covering the existing situation of lung cancer screening (LCS) in Europe.

On 13-17 September, Prof. J. Chorostowska-Wynimko and Prof. T. Blum participated in the European Society of Medical Oncology Congress (ESMO) in Barcelona.
