Lungs Europe is launching two online surveys to identify the needs of the respiratory community in Ukraine. The survey will target people living with lung conditions, as well as a general population survey, to understand the awareness of lung conditions in Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the European Lung Foundation and the European Respiratory Society have expressed their solidarity with the Ukrainian people and provided information support to Ukrainian patients, patient organisations and the medical community.
As part of the operating grant project, co-funded by the European Union, Lungs Europe has sought more opportunities to focus its work in Ukraine by establishing contacts with the Ukrainian respiratory community, promoting the European Patient Ambassador programme in Ukrainian and supporting the establishment of the Ukrainian Respiratory Coalition.
In December 2024, Lungs Europe is asking members of the Ukrainian community to share their views:
Both surveys are available in Ukrainian and will run from 9 December 2024 to 20 January 2025.
During two visits to Ukraine during 2024, Lungs Europe met with patient organisations, healthcare professionals, researchers and government officials working in the field of NCDs and respiratory diseases.
