Awareness days


World No Tobacco Day | 31 May

World No Tobacco Day is an awareness day by the World Health Organization. The aim is to inform the public on the dangers of using tobacco, the business practices of tobacco companies, what WHO is doing to fight the tobacco epidemic, and what people around the world can do to claim their right to health and healthy living and to protect future generations.

World Environment Day | 5 June

World Environment Day gives up an opportunity to raise awareness of key themes from our Healthy Lungs for Life campaign. Join us and raise awareness of clean air and the benefits it can have on our long-term lung health. We will also share our resources on climate change and highlight the impact it has on our lungs, as well as the planet.

World Lung Day | 25 September

World Lung Day is an annual awareness day which takes place on September 25. It is an important global initiative dedicated to promoting lung health and advocating for the respiratory well-being of people worldwide.

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week | 18-24 November

World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) is a global campaign by the World Health Organization (WHO). It is celebrated annually to improve awareness and understanding of antimicrobial resistance and encourage best practices among the public, One Health stakeholders and policymakers, who all play a critical role in reducing the further emergence and spread of AMR.
