ELF and ERS, through Lungs Europe, bring together key respiratory stakeholders to shape EU health priorities and impact policy and the regulatory environment in support of improved lung health for all.
Established in November 2019, Lungs Europe is a Brussels-based organisation which is an official partnership between the European Lung Foundation (ELF) and the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
Lungs Europe will play a significant role in EU funding programmes and projects related to respiratory health and disease. Our mission is to ensure key messages of the EU and European policy reach all key stakeholders, including the ELF and ERS networks of healthcare professionals and patients, patient associations and the public.
Lung Europe’s activities will raise the profile of respiratory issues and promote lung health for all. We will create a hub for advocating for funding, identifying opportunities, supporting applications, and project management, stakeholder engagement and communications in EU projects.
