The topics featured in the Wednesday special programme were relevant for all respiratory stakeholders and organisations. They were an opportunity to engage in important, EU policy-shaping discussion about topics including childhood lung health and air pollution.

This workshop provided a platform for lung health professionals to connect and share knowledge and experiences. The aim of this session was to encourage collaboration among women working within lung health by fostering partnerships, teamwork, and the sharing of ideas and best practices. This was an interesting workshop to provide an update update on the evidence of the lung health effects of air pollution from climate-induced wildfires. The aim of this session was to offer a platform to patient representatives and professionals to discuss strategies relating to current and future impacts from wildfires in Europe. It included a policy discussion and a Q&A.

This session provided attendees with a great opportunity to learn more about the ERN-LUNG network. It highlighted some of its achievements through funding by the European Commission and ERS. The workshop explained how ERN-LUNG can benefit undiagnosed patients and the future growth of the organisation.

International Respiratory Coalition Session: How teams advance respiratory healthcare delivery

Here, the role of teams in the advancement of healthcare delivery was explored, including taking a look at how teams provide multimorbidity care to patient with lung conditions. 

 

The talks were followed by a group discussion to explore key topics of the International Respiratory Coalition (IRC). The IRC is founded on the idea of multistakeholder collaboration; working in teams is at the heart of the coalition. ELF brings the patients’ perspective to this initiative.
