About task forces and clinical research collaborations

Learn about what the ERS task forces and clinical research collaborations that we are involved in do, how they do it and how you can have your say.

Task force

A group of lung health experts work together in a task force to produce guidance about how to diagnose, treat, and manage different lung conditions and related issues. Healthcare professionals can then use these guidelines to provide treatment that follows the most reliable, up-to-date information. These are ERS task forces and patients, through ELF have a key role.

Clinical research collaboration

Clinical research collaborations or CRCs bring together a group of experts and patients in a specific area to area to find out what the research priorities are to coordinate research across Europe. CRCs have a particular focus on biobanks and registries. Like task forces, they are funded by ERS, and patients, through ELF have a key role.
