Find out how we work with patient organisations through our patient organisation network and Patient Advisory Committee.
The ELF patient organisation network brings together diverse organisations and groups working in respiratory health from across Europe and beyond. Organisations in the network can cover all or any respiratory disease, can be large or small, and can work in supporting patients, providing information, driving research and many other vital activities.

The network is free to join for organisations that fit the following criteria:
The ELF Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) plays an important role in all ELF strategic activities. Current members of the committee represent a wide range of lung disease patient organisations from across Europe. The PAC is a sub-committee of the ELF Council, the main body of ELF.
Members of the PAC are appointed for a 3-year period and invited to renew their membership every 3 years. The committee meets four times per year – normally three virtual meetings and one face to face meeting at the ERS Congress. Travel and accommodation costs for participation are covered by ELF.
