What does the Youth Group do?

The ELF Youth Group was formed to ensure that we are meeting the needs of young people with a lung condition. As part of the group you can:

  • Tell ELF what it’s like to have a lung condition as a young person.
  • Make sure ELF’s goals match what young people need.
  • Share ideas about future research and guidelines.
  • Tell ELF the best ways to include young people and hear their views.
  • Help to involve other young people in surveys and groups.
  • Design easy-to-understand information for young people.
  • Take the lead on projects that help young patients.

Get involved

In order to join you should:

  • be aged 16-24,
  • have a lung condition (or represent someone with a lung condition),
  • attend meetings online,
  • have permission from a parent or guardian (if under 18),
  • be confident in English.

If you are interested in joining the Youth Group or would like to know more about it, please get in contact.
