The European Commission has released work programmes for its EU4Health and Horizon Europe initiatives, setting out plans to fund a range of projects in health in the coming years. EU4Health is the EU’s response to COVID-19, and will invest €312 million for crisis preparedness, disease prevention, health systems and the healthcare workforce, and digitalisation. Funding will be open for applications in the coming weeks. Horizon Europe is calling for proposals relating to six key areas for its 2021–2022 programme. The programme is now accepting its first proposals, which can be submitted through the Commission’s Funding and Tenders Portal.
