Healthy Lungs for Life (HLfL) is a global awareness campaign run by the ELF and the European Respiratory Society (ERS). The campaign focusses on five key themes to raise awareness of the best ways we can keep our lungs healthy and reduce the amount lung disease experienced by people worldwide. Every year the campaign reaches thousands of people, helped by our fantastic partners and supporters of the campaign. We cannot do this alone!
For a number of years, we have been growing the reach and impact of the campaign by offering grants to organisations and local communities around the world. This year, with thanks to the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS), we were able to award 10 grants to organisations to promote Healthy Lungs for Life through local activities.
There were many fantastic projects to choose from this year making it a difficult task for our panel to decide the 10 awardees. This year’s grant winners are coming from: Bangladesh, Ghana, Uganda, Moldova, Tanzania, Guatemala, India, Uzbekistan, Nigeria and Ecuador.
Learn how each project plans to promote lung health within local communities. We are looking forward to seeing the positive impact these projects have in their communities.
