New ELF Chair

We are pleased to announce that Kjeld Hansen will take over Isabel's role as ELF Chair in September 2020.

We were delighted to receive six excellent applications for the role of the next ELF Chair. All applicants had experiences and visions that could help lead ELF over the next three years. Following a competitive interview process, we are pleased to announce that Kjeld Hansen will be the new ELF Chair.

The selection panel were impressed with Kjeld’s knowledge of ELF and his ideas for pushing ELF’s work forward over the next 3 years. His experience within the organisation was clear and his passion to drive digital change was inspiring.

Kjeld was first introduced to ELF back in 2012, when he was nominated and became a World Spirometry Day lung champion for his achievement of getting his asthma so well controlled that he could complete the New York marathon. Since then, his running has gone from strength to strength, as well as his work in the field of digital health.

Kjeld’s plan and vision for ELF will be presented at the start of his mandate, but we are excited for him to bring both his professional and personal experience to the driving seat. A period of shadowing between Kjeld and Isabel will now take place until he officially takes over the ELF Chair role in September.
