The Alliance for Pulmonary Hypertension (AfPH) is registered in Brussels (BE) as an international non-profit organisation. It was established in 2020 by the pulmonary hypertension (PH) patient associations of Belgium (HTAP Belgique and Pulmonale Hypertensie vzw), France, Germany, Greece, Latvia and Poland, with the Turkish Association PAHSSc joining as a new member in 2022. The AfPH's mission is to promote the sharing of knowledge and expertise about PH across the community and engage in collaborative activities to address unmet patient needs and help improve access and efficacy of PH care.

Spanish patient organisation of COPD (APEPOC)

APEPOC is a non-profit organisation that is included in those regulated by articles 16 and 2 of Law 49/2002, of December 23, 2002, on the tax regime of non-profit organisations and tax incentives for patronage, with its own legal personality, which pursues general interest purposes, and whose objectives, among others, the defense of the rights of COPD patients. All the actions carried out by this association will ultimately aim to improve the quality of life of COPD patients. In order to achieve this objective, it mainly uses two ways: the assistance services to its associates, and the dissemination of the disease as a means to pressure the administrations to invest in quality of life for COPD patients.

The Association of Patients with Respiratory Failure and Lung Transplantation (APRFLT) is an organisation that fully understands the challenges that lung disease patients face. Therefore, we strive to promote contacts and empathy between patients with lung diseases, as well as their adaptation to a changed lifestyle. We aim to improve their mental and physical well-being through forms of personal, organizational and financial support. We also help spread scientific information about the disease and access to innovative therapies. APRFLT is a full member of the ESOT-ETPO Alliance.

COPD Patient Association, Italy (Ass BPCO)

The Association aims to increase the knowledge of COPD and its management by patients and their families on the basis of the most recent scientific findings, in order to improve their health conditions and quality of life. It acts as an interlocutor for the institutions, to pursue the implementation of tools, including legislative ones, aimed at improving the protection of the chronic respiratory patient, promoting information, education and prevention campaigns and supporting scientific medical and pharmacological research.

Czech Civil Association Against Lung Diseases (COPN)

• Founded in 1999 as Czech Civic Association Against COPD following the GOLD Initiative
• Czech national lung patients´ organisation
• Members: patients with chronic pulmonary diseases and pneumologists
• Specialised local clubs for patients with identic dg.: COPD, asthma, interstitial lung diseases (ILD), sarcoidosis, lung carcinoma, sleep disorders, post-transplant patients
