The Fondation du Souffle (Breath Foundation) ran a Respirathlon in Paris, to bring awareness to the need for clean air for lung health. They held a two-day event (30 September–1 October 2023) to promote the benefits of physical activity and to raise awareness on the positive impact of soft mobility for the planet.

On the first day of the event, a researcher presented his research project on the impact of pollution on respiratory health. They also held specific workshops on physical activities that had taken place within the Fondation du Souffle that were aimed at patients and the general public.

The 4th edition of the Urban Trail of the Fondation du Souffle took place on the second day of the event around Montmartre. There were:

  • 1 300 runners,
  • 300 walkers, and
  • 1 200 steps (up to Montmartre place).

The course was 7 kilometres long and promoted the importance of respiratory health to all attendees: lung function tests were offered to the runners and general public.
