Take the Active Option at the ERS Congress 2026

Take the Active Option is a popular Healthy Lungs for Life event that brings people together to celebrate physical activity and lung health.

Participants can choose between a 5km run or a 2.5km walk, making the event accessible for all fitness levels. The route takes place in the Montjuïc area of Barcelona, offering a scenic and enjoyable start to the day.

Entry costs €28 and includes participation in the run or walk, official timing, breakfast after the event and a contribution to support the Healthy Lungs for Life campaign.

This event sells out every year, so early registration is strongly recommended. Individuals and teams are both welcome to take part.

This event is open to the ERS Congress participants and members of the public who would like to support the campaign and take part in a fun, active event during Congress week.
