ERS Congress

ERS International Congress 2022

The European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress 2022 will take place from 4-6 September 2022. It will be a hybrid conference, with onsite attendance in Barcelona, Spain, and participation online.

04/09/2022 - 06/09/2022

About the ERS Congress

The ERS Congress is an annual conference. It brings together the world’s respiratory experts to present and discuss the latest scientific and clinical advances across the entire field of respiratory medicine.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Congress was held in a virtual format in 2020 and 2021. This year, as there are still many uncertainties around COVID-19, the Congress will be hybrid and have a reduced capacity onsite. This means there will be the opportunity to be onsite in Barcelona or access the Congress online.

For more information, visit the ERS Congress website.

Patients at Congress

The European Lung Foundation (ELF) helps to make the Congress more accessible to patients and patient organisation representatives. However, due to the reduced size of the Congress this year and COVID-19 uncertainties, many activities will be held online.

The annual ELF Patient Organisation Networking Day will focus on self-management and will be held online on 31 August 2022. Visit the event page to find out more and register to attend.

Patient track 2022

We have put together a ‘patient track’ to show the sessions taking place at Congress which we believe to be the most patient-focused, and when they will take place. It has been designed to help patient representatives see which sessions they might be interested in attending, either in person or online. It also shows which sessions have patient speakers involved.
