The Healthy Lungs for Life campaign is coming to Amsterdam for the ERS Congress in September 2025.
This year, Healthy Lungs for Life are coming to Amsterdam to highlight the importance of protecting lung health from an early age. Activities will include free public lung function testing, outreach in local schools, the annual #TaketheActiveOption event and a special prevention-focused workshop as part of the ERS Congress Wednesday programme.
On Friday 26 September 2025, ELF, ERS and Longfonds will hold a press launch of Healthy Lungs for Life at the NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam. The event will highlight the campaign’s focus on lung health in children and young people, marking the start of public activities across the city in the lead-up to the ERS Congress.
This is an invite-only event. For press enquiries or further information, please contact Nadine Peters: nadine.peters@ersnet.org.
Come and meet the Healthy Lungs for Life team in the World Village to discuss the campaign, explore our resources and learn more about the tools you need to hold your own lung health event.

Healthy Lungs for Life is partnering with Longfonds in the Netherlands to launch an exciting new schools programme during the ERS Congress 2025 in Amsterdam.
Building on successful pilots in Barcelona, Milan and Vienna, this initiative will educate young people about the importance of lung health, air quality and healthy habits from an early age. With a choice of flexible educational packages, from self-led lessons to sessions with healthcare professionals and interactive projects like Snifferbike Junior, schools can tailor the programme to their needs while inspiring pupils to take positive action for their lungs and the environment.
