Barcelona, Spain and online
09/09/2026

What is the Wednesday special programme?

Jointly organised by the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the European Lung Foundation (ELF), the Wednesday special programme focuses on topics that affect patients, healthcare professionals, researchers and policymakers alike.

Unlike traditional scientific sessions, the Wednesday special programme is less formal and offers more opportunities for discussion, debate and audience questions. Participants can engage directly with patients, healthcare professionals, researchers and policymakers on key issues affecting lung health.

How to attend

The Wednesday special programme is free to attend and open to anyone with an interest in lung health. To join, you need to register in advance.

The event will take place in person in Barcelona. There is no online option to attend live.

If you cannot attend in person, the sessions will be recorded and shared on this page after the event.
