“Pleural disease” is a term for problems with the thin layer that lines the outside of the lungs and the inside of the ribcage, helping the lungs move smoothly when you breathe.

We invite anyone with lived experience of pleural disease to complete the survey to help us better understand research priorities from the perspective of people with lived experience of these conditions.

The survey has been developed by The International Multicentre Pleural Research Collaborative (IMPACT www.pleuraldisease.eu) and ELF is supporting the distribution of the survey.

The results of the survey will be used to inform a final set of research priorities in pleural disease which will guide researchers in the future.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 15 minute to complete. The deadline to complete the survey by is 1 May 2026. Complete the survey today and help shape the future of pleural disease research in Europe!
