Can you represent the patient perspective in a new ERS Task Force on breathlessness during mechanical ventilation?

A new European Respiratory Society (ERS) Task Force is looking at dyspnoea, or breathlessness, in patients receiving mechanical ventilation. The Task Force is looking for patient representatives to join the group to make sure that the views of patients and carers are considered.

They are looking for:

  • Patients who have received mechanical ventilation when severely ill and who remember feeling breathless while on the ventilation
  • Relatives of patients who have received mechanical ventilation when severely ill and who have experienced the patient being breathless while on the ventilation, even if the patient themself does not remember this.
