Help shape the future of digital health and AI in respiratory care

Digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming healthcare, from online appointments and health apps to advanced technologies that assist doctors in diagnosing and monitoring conditions. At the European Lung Foundation (ELF), we want to ensure these innovations work for everyone, especially people living with lung conditions.

To support this mission, ELF is collaborating with ERS Clinical Research Collaboration CONNECT, a platform that unites diverse voices to explore how digital innovation can enhance respiratory care. As part of this initiative, we have launched a survey to learn what people know and want to discover about digital health and AI.

Take the survey now: Digital health and AI in healthcare survey

The survey asks about your experience and views on digital health and AI, helping us understand awareness levels and what information people need.

Whether you have a lung condition, care for someone who does, work in healthcare, or are simply interested in how AI and digital tools are shaping the future — your views matter.

By participating, you will help us to:

  • Understand public perceptions of digital health and AI
  • Identify gaps in awareness and access to trustworthy information
  • Ensure patients and the wider public have a voice in shaping future respiratory care

What happens next?
Later this year, we will share the survey results and hold a patient conference in November 2025. This event will bring together patients, healthcare professionals and the public to discuss digital health and plan the next steps collaboratively.

This survey is part of a broader digital health project that works with patients to shape the future of healthcare. If you are interested in getting more involved in the upcoming conference or sharing your ideas, please contact the ELF team.

Together, we can help ensure that digital health and AI develop in ways that are inclusive, transparent and supportive of people living with lung conditions and the wider community.
