Home » Raising awareness for lung health: Protecting Gujranwala’s traffic police
In November and December 2023, a “Healthy Lungs for Life” (HLFL) awareness campaign was conducted in collaboration with the City Traffic Police Gujranwala to address the severe impact of air pollution and smoking on traffic wardens and constables. With 124 personnel participating, the initiative provided risk communication kits, free face masks and educational sessions on air pollution, smoking cessation and lung health. Through face-to-face outreach, social media and print media, the campaign aimed to equip officers with preventive strategies to protect their respiratory health, encouraging them to become advocates for lung health within their department and the broader community.
