European Respiratory Society

ERS founded ELF in 2000 and provides core funding for ELF activities.

Founded in 1990, ERS is a not-for-profit, international medical organisation with over 10,000 members from 100 countries. It is the biggest society in Europe in its field.

ERS seeks to alleviate suffering from respiratory disease and promote lung health through research, sharing of knowledge and through medical and public education.

Clean Air Fund is working with ELF on the Healthy Lungs for Life campaign to fund our work around #BreatheCleanAir. In 2023, Clean Air Fund supported our activities in Milan and funded several of our HLFL microgrants. We look forward to our continued partnership with them.

We are also supported financially through workplace fundraising and donations from companies. While we accept corporate donations and are grateful for this support, it does not influence any of our activities. Industry income accounts for approximately 1% of our total income.
