Children's Interstitial Lung Disease (ChILD) Patient Advisory Group

Our Patient Advisory Groups or PAGs are made up of people who have an interest in a particular lung condition or topic related to lung health. Members share their views and get involved in projects to help improve treatment and healthcare.

The ChILD PAG was active between 2017 and 2020. Members of the group worked to raise awareness of the condition and improve diagnosis, treatment and care.

ChILD PAG activities

PAGs are set up to contribute to ELF and ERS priority-setting, and input into projects such as Task Forces and Clinical Research Collaborations (CRCs). PAGs may also contribute to other initiatives such as EU projects and ERS assemblies. Some PAGs may initiate their own patient-driven projects.

The CHILDEU Clinical Research Collaboration (CRC) began in 2016. Representatives of children with interstital lung diseases (ILD) shared their experiences of having family members with the condition and contributed to research.

Members of the ChILD PAG produced a resource for parents of children with interstitial lung diseases (ILD). This aims to raise awareness of this group of rare lung diseases.
