COVID-19

Patient input

We have formed a patient advisory group comprising people who have had COVID-19, people with lung conditions who are concerned about getting COVID-19, carers, and patient organisation representatives. Activities they participate in include:

  • The DRAGON project, which aims to use artificial intelligence (AI) to more accurately diagnose COVID-19. It also aims to be able to better predict the outcomes of patients
  • A task force producing guidelines for the clinical management of people with COVID-19
  • A CRC to create a European respiratory network to share data about COVID-19
  • Contributing to a COVID-19 factsheet for patients
  • Producing patient videos describing their experiences

Patients have reviewed documents and surveys, shared their views and experiences at meetings and online events, and helped to plan a COVID-19 conference.
