Applications are now open for the 2026 Healthy Lungs for Life (HLfL) grants. These grants give organisations worldwide the chance to raise awareness about lung health and make a tangible difference in their communities.
The Healthy Lungs for Life (HLfL) campaign has been promoting lung health globally for more than a decade. Building on this work, the HLfL grants programme was launched to support community-led initiatives, funding projects that bring key lung health messages to life. Past grant winners have helped us demonstrate how even small grants can make a real impact, through school education campaigns, environmental initiatives, vaccination drives and health screenings.
From Nepal to Nigeria, Italy to India, past HLfL grants have helped communities promote lung health, improve air quality, and encourage healthy lifestyles. You can explore their inspiring work in our grant report.
This year, thanks to funding from the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS) and the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Clinical Research Collaboration CADSET, we are offering two types of grants:
