Healthy Lungs for Life

Healthy Lungs for Life for schools: Barcelona 2026

Healthy Lungs for Life is excited to announce its return to Barcelona, Spain, for the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress 2026.

01/06/2026 - 01/10/2026

Background

As a global campaign, Healthy Lungs for Life raises awareness about the importance of lung health through a range of events, projects and activities. Since 2014, the initiative has grown from public spirometry events at the ERS Congress to city-level campaigns, advocacy efforts and the launch of a dedicated school programme in 2022.

Healthy Lungs for Life for Schools

The Healthy Lungs for Life for Schools project aims to educate young people about lung health and encourage habits that protect their lungs throughout life. Early interventions are key, as behaviours established in childhood can have a lasting impact on lung health in later years.

Healthy Lungs for Life has already successfully piloted the schools programme in Barcelona in 2022 and aims to build on this work with partners in 2026

Together, all of this year’s partners share a common goal to improve lung health for all. We are pleased to offer the following Healthy Lungs for Life educational packages, tailored to meet the needs of different schools:
