Apply for a grant to hold Healthy Lungs for Life activities

Applications to apply for a grant to support Healthy Lungs for Life activities are now open for 2021! 

European Lung Foundation (ELF) offers grants to support Healthy Lungs for Life activities.  

Not-for-profit organisations, patient groups and healthcare professionals can apply for a grant of up to €1,000 to support events and activities that meet one or more of the aims of the Healthy Lungs for Life campaign. 

• Increase knowledge of the impact of poor air quality on lung health and the actions that everyone can take to reduce air pollution and avoid exposure 
• Highlight the benefits of quitting smoking 
• Increase knowledge of the importance of physical activity for lung health  
• Raise awareness of vaccination to prevent lung infections 

Applications are now open and will stay open, so you can apply for a grant at any time. Each year, there will be two cut off dates: 

• 28 February 
• 31 July 

At each cut-off date, the ELF team will collect all applications submitted since the previous cut-off date, anonymise them and send them to the Healthy Lungs for Life team for judging. The applications that the team assess to have the most impact will be offered a grant. 

We encourage applicants to link activities to awareness days related to their chosen topics.
