The European Lung Foundation (ELF) is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Healthy Lungs for Life (HLfL) grants! In partnership with the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS) we are offering 10 grants of €1,000 to organisations worldwide to help raise awareness of lung health.
The 2025 grants were officially launched during the EPAP Live webinar on 20 February where past grant winners from Pakistan, Moldova and Uganda shared how €1,000 helped them make a real difference in their communities. From running education campaigns in schools to providing life-saving vaccinations their inspiring stories highlighted the impact that small grants can have on global lung health.

HLfL has been supporting community events for over a decade funding more than 60 events in 32 countries. Each year thousands of people take part in activities that promote our key lung health messages:

In 2025 we are prioritising first-time applicants. If you have not received a grant in the past 2 years, we encourage you to apply. This year we are particularly looking for projects that:
HLfL micro-grants can be used to run events create materials or launch online campaigns to spread awareness of lung health.
